Joseph’s Bakery started humbly from a wish for a taste of home. In 1952, Joseph Boghos had immigrated from Damascus, Syria to Boston and along with assimilating to a new life, he craved the flavors he’d grown up with and thus started making his favorite dishes in his kitchen, one of which was a family recipe pita bread. When his friends and neighbors had gotten fascinated with the bread, he’d decided to open Joseph’s Bakery in 1972 to keep up with the demand, where his line had only expanded from there! As the demand grew so did the supply, and so did Joseph’s family, who had taken on the business, keeping the legacy alive and well!
